W. C. "BILL" TURNQUIST, Prescott, Kansas

W. C. "Bill" Turnquist, formerly of Winterset, died on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1981, at his home in Prescott, Kansas. He was 66 years old and had been in poor health for the last three years.

Born March 14, 1915 in Des Moines, he was the son of William and Roxie Turnquist.

On March 28, 1940, he married Aldeen Cassida at Mound City, Kansas. They lived in Kansas City most of their married life where Mr. Turnquist was employed at the Lake City Arsenal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Aldeen; and a brother and a sister.

Survivors include a son, Gary, of Kansas City; a brother, Leland, of Branson, Mo.; three sisters, Mildred Rasmussen of Las Vegas, Nev., Ireta Lee of Ontario, Calif., and Oleta Allen of Winterset; and one grandson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, in Mound City, Kansas.
