RUTH CUNNINGHAM TULLY, St. Charles

Ruth Cunningham Tully, 67, of St. Charles, died of diabetes Sept. 24, 1997 at Des Moines General Hospital. Funeral services were Sept. 27, 1997 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. The Rev. Ed Poston officiated and burial followed at the St. Charles Cemetery.

She was born in Russell to Ezra Casner and Edith May Thorne on April 6, 1930. She was educated at Woodland Schools. On March 11, 1948, she married Jerry Cunningham. She later married Vernon Tully on March 8, 1997. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; and three sisters.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Vernon Tully, of St. Charles; two sons, Daniel Cunningham and wife Kathy of Leon and Jerry Cunningham and wife Ramona of St. Charles; one daughter, Linda Ruth McDonald and husband James of Mesa, Ariz.; one step-daughter, Velta Kay Brooks and husband Donald of Ottumwa; one step-son, Robert Vernon Tully of Des Moines; one sister, Freda Black of Des Moines; one brother, Earnie Casner of Arkansas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and on step-great-great-grandchild.
