MARY TULLY, Winterset

Mary Tully, 86, of Winterset, died of a stroke Nov. 5, 1996 at the Hospice Kavanaugh House in Des Moines. Funeral services were Nov. 8 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. Gene Reasoner officiated the services and burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Lineville on July 11, 1910 to George Marion and Minnie R. Zella (Riggs) Larkins. She married Vernon Tully on Aug. 5, 1967 at Princeton, Mo. She was a homemaker and a resident of Madison County for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son; one brother; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include her husband; two sons, Wesley Junior Cleghorn of Avon Lake, and Conrad Lavern Cleghorn of Winterset; one daughter, Dixie Lee Bardwell of Winterset; one stepson, Robert Tully of Des Moines; one stepdaughter, Kay Brooks of Ottumwa; one sister, Georgie Mae Edgar of West Plains, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
