DOROTHY BROWER TUCKER, Winterset

Dorothy Mae Brower Tucker, 80, of Winterset, died of congestive heart failure on June 25, 1995 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services are today, Wednesday, at 10:30. The Rev. John Shaull will officiate the services and burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Dallas County on Feb. 21, 1915 to Urban Clyde and Eva Henrietta (Simpson) Brower. She married Dean Cochran Tucker on Nov. 21, 1937 in Wyoming. She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She worked at the Aldo Cafe in Winterset, Look Magazine in Des Moines, Gold Buffet in Winterset, Care Review Board of Bethesda and worked with three nursing home mending groups. She was a lifetime resident of Madison County and a member of the First Baptist Church in Winterset where she was a family dinner coordinator.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and five sisters.

Surviving relatives include four sons, John Dean Tucker and wife Donna of Cedar Falls, Paul Clyde Tucker and wife Miki of Lorimor, Wayne Brower Tucker and wife Sandi of Lorimor, and Michael Joel Tucker of Sawyer, North Dakota; one daughter, Aileen Elizabeth Burrell and husband Jerry of Green Brier, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
