Eugene Kivett, Norwalk

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 13, 1982, at Collins Funeral Home for Eugene Monroe Kivett, a former Madison County resident who died March 10 at Norwalk Manor in Norwalk. He was 90 years old.

Born Oct. 30, 1891, in Macksburg, he was the son of William and Margaret Givan Kivett.

He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the army.

On December 25, 1919, he married Grace Busch in Macksburg. Mrs. Kivett died in 1979.

Mr. Kivett was a farmer by occupation, retiring in 1970.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, two brothers, Lee and Elmer; and sister, Anna.

Survivors include a son, Charles of West Des Moines; two daughters, Wilma Davies of Upper Nyack, N.Y., and Eva Kivett of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Grace Silverthorn of Merced, Calif.; 4 grandchildren and a great grandchild

Rev. Byron Ayers officiated at the funeral. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
