Funeral services for Elmer C. Kirscher, 97, will be held Thurs., Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Nova Wells officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday 12 noon to 9 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home and family visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Kirscher died September 2 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 10, 1893 to Frank and Barbara (Spatz) Kirscher in Townsend, Mont., and married Phyllis Lorena McNair May 23, 1939 in Des Moines. He was a retired farmer and a member of Waukee Christian Church. He had lived in Madison County 51 years, coming from Earlham.
Elmer Charles Kirscher was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his wife and two sons, Robert and Gerald, all of Winterset; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
