Wilma M. Kirk, Winterset

Services for Wilma M. Kirk, 82, Winterset, who died May 11 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Mon., May 14, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Berry officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born October 15, 1907 at Lanesboro, Iowa, and was married to John Kirk on November 26, 1929 in Madison County.

Mrs. Kirk lived in Winterset since 1974 and most of her life in Madison County. She was a member of the Christian Church in Lanesboro and the Order of the Eastern Star in Lorimor since 1945.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Raymond of Chariton, Benjamin, Max, Larry and Ronald, all of Lorimor; daughters, Patricia Grandfield of Lorimor, Barbara Waller of Oskaloosa, and Helen Powers of Winterset; a brother, Charles McChesney of Palmetto, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Emma Kinney of Carisle; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Lawrence; a sister, two brothers, and a daughter-in-law Patty Travis Kirk.
