Glenn E. Kirk, 74, Westhope, died at Minot Oct. 5.

Funeral services for Glenn E. Kirk, 74, were held in the Trinity Lutheran Church at Westhope on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 2:30 p. m. The Reverend Eldred Johnson officiated. Casket bearers were Kenneth Talcott, Melvin Sannes, Thomas Lambe, Theodore Ballantyne, George Sandy and Matt Hefter. Interment was in the Westhope cemetery.

Glenn Kirk, a son of Edward and Viola Kirk, was born at Peru, Iowa on November 30, 1894

The family came to North Dakota in 1915 to Dodge; later he came to Bottineau County. He was a stock buyer for many years, then settled on the farm near Westhope. He has resided there since. He was married to Irene Talcott in Bottineau in 1937.

He passed away in a Minot hospital on Saturday, October 5th, after a long illness.

Surviving are his wife, Irene, at home; two daughters, Mrs. LaVerne (Glenda) Nelson in Nampa, Idaho and Mrs. Lillian Barker in Seattle, Washington; five sons, Raymond in Kent Washington, Ronald and Gary at Westhope, Donald, in Seattle and Dudley, in Minot; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. W. R. (Esther) Foglesong, Omaha, Nebra.: and two brothers, Forrestt in Dickinson and Denzil in Omaha.

A daughter, Shirley, and a son, Elmo, preceded him in death.
