PEARL THOMSON, 86, Died Sunday

Mrs. Pearl Thomson died Sunday, June 13, 1971, at the Horton Nursing Home in Winterset. She was 86 years of age.

Mrs. Thomson was the former Pearl Mildred Rash, the daughter of Alvie and Clara Davis Rash. She was born October 23, 1884 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. She married William M. Thomson in June, 1910, near Gordon, Nebraska. The couple moved to Madison County in 1910, living in the Pitzer area before moving to Winterset.

Mrs. Thomson was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Winterset.

Preceding her in death were her husband and a daughter. She is survived by three sons, Donald Thomson of Kalispell, Montana, Kenneth Thomson of Estherville, Iowa, and Hugh Thomson of Rialto, Calif.; and by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Roby of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Marjorie Wilson of Branson, Mo. Three sisters, twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. John E. Fink officiating. Burial will be in Stringtown cemetery.
