MRS. RICHARD KIRK OF LORIMOR DIES

Death Occurred Thursday at Memorial Hospital in Winterset

Mrs. Richard Kirk, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Thursday, March 14 at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset, after several years of failing health. She was 70 years of age.

Mrs. Kirk was the former Lois Clare Miller, daughter of Lawson and Bessie Miller, and was born near Earlham on Aug. 26, 1886.

On Feb. 26, 1913, she was married to Olna Lee Stewart. They were parents of two children, a daughter, Bessie, who died in infancy and a son, Phillip, who now lives at Omaha, Nebr. The husband and father died in 1934.

In 1936 she was married to Richard Kirk, who survives her. She also leaves the son, Philip Stewart of Omaha; three grandchildren; and a brother, Fred Miller of Winterset.

At the age of 13 years she united with the Early Chapel Church of Christ, later transferring to the Lorimor Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held from the Richards Funeral home Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the Worthington cemetery.
