MARSHALL MILLER DIED ON THURSDAY

Veteran of World War I Had Been in Veteran's Hospital

Marshall H. Miller, World War veteran, died at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines, Thursday, Feb. 3, at the age of 52 years. Mr. Miller, a son of Lee and Lizzie B. Miller, was born in Madison county, Feb. 26, 1891.

He enlisted during the first World War as a member of a trench mortar unit in the seventh division of the regular army, and served overseas. He has been an invalid for the past six years.

Mr. Miller is survived by three sisters, and a brother, Mrs. T. E. Harrison and Alfred Miller of Winterset, and Mrs. Anna Schaff and Mrs. C. R. Rippey, both of St. Joseph, Mo.

The Rev. Arthur Mortenson conducted his funeral services Sunday, Feb. 6th at the Anderson funeral home, and burial was made in the Barney cemetery.
