Operator of Hatchery Here Succumbs at Winterset Hospital
Mrs. Anna Mae Anderson of Winterset, well known throughout this county as operator of the Anderson hatchery here, died at the Winterset hospital last Thursday. She was 62 years of age.
Mrs. Anderson had lived in Madison county since 1908, and in Winterset since 1925. She was born near Peoria, Ill., on July 12, 1881, the daughter of John and Rosa Schiebel. When she was 20 years old she moved with her parents to Marshalltown, and there a few years later she was married to Richard Anderson.
They were the parents of four children. One son, Raymond, died in 1941. She is survived by the three children, Mrs. Grace Bole of Des Moines, Eldon Anderson of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Elsie Burns of Phoenix, Ariz.; ten grandchildren; four brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services were held from the Winterset Church of Christ Saturday, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
