JUDY TROESTER, Missouri

Judith Anne Troester, 56, of Kirksville, Mo., died Oct. 10, 2003, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville with the Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Burial was at Maple Hills Cemeery in Kirksville.

Judy Troester was born Sept. 25, 1947, in Des Moines to Robert E. and Gloria "Naomi" (Hermon) Stroeber. She attended school in Winterset through the ninth grade. Her family then moved to West Des Moines where she attended Valley High School, graduating in 1966. She attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, graduating in 1970 with a degree in business administration.

On Aug. 16, 1970 she was united in marriage to Kent Troester in West Des Moines. Judy began working in the business department at KCOM in 1976. Later she worked as an insurance specialist at the Gutensohn Clinic and the Northeast Missouri Health Council. In 1997, she began working for Academic Medicine, Inc. as the physician documentation coordinator, working until December of 2002 when she left for health reasons. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a past member of the Jaycee Wives and West Des Moines United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Kent Troester of Kirksville, Mo.; her parents, Robert and Naomi Stroeber of Kirksville, Mo.; a daughter, Kimberly Moore of Kirksville, Mo.; and two granddaughters.
