MINNIE M. GAEKLE DIED ON TUESDAY

Long-Time Resident of This Community Succumbs at Ames

Mrs. Minnie M. Gaekle, former well known Winterset woman, died Tuesday at Ames, where she had been making her home with her son, Gerald Gaekle and family. She was 63 years of age. She had been in poor health the past 18 months.

Mrs. Gaekle was the widow of the late Fred Gaekle, who engaged in the restaurant business in Winterset for many years. She was born March 20, 1881, and all but the last few years of her life were spent in this community. Her husband died seven years ago.

Near surviving relatives are her son, Gerald Gaekle of Ames, and a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Taylor of Earlham. She also leaves four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from Anderson's Funeral home and the time has been tentatively set for 4 p.m. this Thursday. The Rev. Reed Kessler will be in charge. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
