JOSEPH KINNAIRD OF PATTERSON DIES

Joseph L. Kinnaird, a Madison county resident for most of his life, died Friday, July 23, at his home in Patterson. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Kinnaird was born in this county Oct. 30, 1884, a son of George and Cynthia Young Kinnaird. During his active life he engaged in farming, but had been retired in recent years. He was a member of the Providence United Brethren church.

He was married at Winterset on June 7, 1908, to Anna Lora Johnston, who survives him. He also leaves a son, George W. Kinnaird of near Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. General James of Chicago; five grandchildren; and a brother, Creed Kinnaird of Long Beach, Calif.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Patterson Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Leonard Root. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
