E. B. HARRELL DIED HERE ON MONDAY

Winterset Citizen Dies After Long Period of Failing Health

Edmund B. Harrell, a well-known Winterset citizen, died at his home here Monday after a long period of failing health. He was 53 years of age.

Mr. Harrell was born on a farm in Madison county on July 1, 1890, and with the exception of seven years spent at Morgan, Minn., his entire life was spent here. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Harrell.

He was married Sept. 21, 1910, to Minnie L. Brady. They farmed until 1935, when his failing health forced them to move into Winterset, which had since been their home.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Paul Harrell of Winterset, and Robert Harrell of the U.S. coast guard; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Eckhardt of West Palm Beach, Fla., Mrs. Maxine Smith of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Shirley Harrell at home; his father, Edgar Harrell of Winterset; one grandchild; four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
