Services for Richard "Dick" Trevillyan, 86, Winterset, who died Nov. 7, 1988, at Care Center South where he resided, were held Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Ann Epperson officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.
Born Dec. 6, 1901 in Valley Junction, Iowa, he was the son of Charles and Emma Markle Trevillyan. He was a retired carpenter, electrician, machinist and farmer. Mr. Trevillyan was married to Bertha Reel on Jan 8, 1924 at Waukee.
He moved to Madison County in 1944 to farm and moved to Lorimor in 1957, serving as mayor in 1959. He was a member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church, the Masonic Fern Lodge in Lorimor, the Evening Star Lodge in Winterset and served as Master Mason in 1949, Worshipful Master in 1956, Masonic Instructor in 1966 and District Lecturer in 1969. He moved to the nursing home in 1987.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Richard D. and Betty of Montana, Raymond of Lorimor, Charles and Donna of Des Moines; Delbert and Jackie of Winterset, Jerry and Nadine of Winterset and John and Merry Anne of Des Moines; a daughter, Phyllis and Bob Williams of Winterset; sisters, Kathryn Martin of Winterset and Ruth Galloway of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and five sisters.
