PERRY S. KING DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Perry S. King, a well-known resident of the St. Charles community most of his life, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Burbank, Calif. He had been living at Canoga Park, Calif., the past few years.

Mr. King was 79 years of age at his death. He was born Oct. 3, 1886, at Hanley, a son of Amberry and Jane Sayre King. His active life was spent in farming and in business at St. Charles.

He was married in 1905 to Madge L. Howard, who survives him.

He was a member of the Methodist church at St. Charles and of the St. Charles Lions club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Madalyn Wright of Des Moines, Mrs. Lenora Button of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Geraldine Lathrum of Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Charlolete Bollyard of Canoga Park, Calif. He also leaves 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Zella Powers of Indianola and Mrs. Bessie Corkill of Waukegan, Illinois.

Funeral services were held Friday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. L. L. Root. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
