Harold B. "Hal" Trester, 56, Winterset, died Oct. 9, 1986, at his home.
Mr. Trester was born at Dubuque on Sept. 5, 1930, the son of Boise and Mabel Armitage Trester. He was program manager of Dallas County Abilities, Unlimited. He was married to Judy Roberts of Westminster, Colo., on Sept. 5, 1961.
Mr. Trester was a graduate of Winterset High School and Simpson College and had been in law enforcement for 20 years, serving nine years as city probation officer at Colorado Springs, Colo. He was the author of a book entitled "Supervision of the Offender."
He was a Korean War army veteran and had lived in Winterset the past five years.
Survivors include his wife; and sons, Barry of Colorado Springs and Jeffrey of Winterset.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Services in Des Moines.
