Almena Kile, Winterset

Almena B. Kile of Winterset, died Sunday, Sept. 20, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 88 years old.

Born on July 8, 1893 in Mt. Auburn, Ia., she was the daughter of Henry Kile and Maria Whitcomb.

She lived in Madison County most of her life but spent the last 31 years in Des Moines, where she attended First Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Paul. Survivors include three nieces, Evelyn Coffman and Norma Shaw of Winterset and Joan Mealey of Des Moines; three nephews, Gail Paul Kile and Wayne Kile of Winterset and Richard Kile of Des Moines; and a brother, Eugene C. Kile of Laguna Hills, Calif.

Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, Sept. 23 at Winterset Cemetery.
