JAMES TRACY, Winterset

Services for James Tracy, 66, Winterset, who died Aug. 22, 1986, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center, were held Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at he Winterset Cemetery and military graveside services were provided by the VFW post.

Born in Adair County Jan. 18, 1920, he was the son of James and Tressa Campfield Tracy. He spent most of his lifetime in Winterset and was an employee of the Penn-Dixie Cemeent Corp. Mr. Tracy was a World War II army veteran, a member of the American Legion and VFW, and the Central Hawkeye Gas Engine and Tractor Club.

Survivors include a son of Winterset; two aunts and an uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents.
