MAUDE D. TOUGH, Winterset

Maude D. Tough, 91, died June 27, 1991, at Bethesda Care Center where she was a resident. Funeral services were held Sat. June 29 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Cheryl Gelner officiating.

A lifetime Madison County resident, she was born March 8, 1900 to Orville and Mary (Bush) Rankin. She married Henry A. Tough February 25, 1947 in Greenfield. She was a homemaker, a member of Earlham United Methodist Church, and was a past noble grand and member of the Crown Rebekah Lodge in Winterset for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, and three brothers.

Surviving are a daughter, Doris Clague and husband, John, of Earlham; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
