Services Held For Deane Kerr

Funeral services for Deane Fulton Kerr of St. Charles were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery with Rev. Roy Ives of Osceola officiating. Mr. Kerr died Saturday, September 22 at St. Charles at the age of 64.

Born on June 17, 1915 at St. Charles, he was the son of Ray and Illo Fulton Kerr. He was married to Lillian Langlo on October 21, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, who survives him. Mr. Kerr was a barber in St. Charles for 29 years.

A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Gripp Williamson Post 674 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a past commander. Mr. Kerr was also a member of the Christian Church in St. Charles.

In addition to his wife Lillian three sons, Randy Kerr of Alameda, California, Terry Kerr of Winterset and Dan Kerr of Ft. Riley, Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Irma Wedekind of Palm Springs, California; five grandchildren and an aunt, Doris Fulton of St. Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
