Was Telephone Operator in St. Charles for 36 Years
Mrs. Ilo E. Kerr, a life-time resident of the St. Charles community, died last Thursday, Dec. 29, at a Des Moines hospital. She was 68 years of age.
Mrs. Kerr had been a telephone operator in St. Charles for 36 years.
She was the former Ilo Edith Fulton, daughter of James and Martha McCandless Fulton. She was born at St. Charles, May 26, 1892. She was a member of the Christian church in St. Charles.
She leaves a son, Deane Kerr of St. Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Irma Wedekind of Des Moines; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Wise and Doris Fulton of St. Charles; and a brother, Ray Fulton of Santa Marie, Calif.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Kale Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. James Farrell of St. Charles. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
