One of the sad happenings which affects relatives and old friends of the Arthur Silliman famiy, is the death on August 1st of Mrs. Silliman, who died in York, N.D., following the birth of twins, a boy and girl. The remains were brought to the old home community for burial on Friday, funeral services being conducted by Rev. L. B. Shannon in the Peru Methodist church, with burial in the Peru cemetery.
Mrs. Silliman was Miss Grace Tomlinson before marriage and was well known in the Peru neighborhood. Mr. Silliman and his nine children have the deep sympathy of the community in their deep bereavement.

The funeral of Mrs. Arthur Silliman who died at her home in Dakota, was held at the M. E. church Thursday morning at eleven o'clock, conducted by Rev. Shannon, with interment in the Peru cemetery.
Mrs. Silliman was born and raised near Peru, having always lived here until a few years ago when they moved to Dakota.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and nine children, a father, sister and two brothers, besides a host of friends and relatives. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved ones.
