RITES FOR MRS. AMEL FREY HELD AT LORIMOR

Long-Time Resident There Died in Winterset on July 8

Funeral services for Mrs. Amel Frey of Lorimor, who died at the Peterson Nursing home in Winterset July 8th, were held last Wednesday from the Lorimor Christian church in charge of the Rev. Edgar Thompson.

Mrs. Frey was the former Jemima Josephine McCauley, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. John McCauley, and was born at Winterset, Aug. 4, 1873. She was 72 years of age at the time of her death.

She was married to Amel Frey at Harlan on July 31, 1901. They had no children, but reared in their home a niece, the present Mrs. Ruth Waugh of Earlham, and a nephew, Vernon Frey, now of Marysville, Kan., both of whom they took into their home at an early age.

In addition the the niece and nephew, she is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Wade of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Sarah Berry of Omaha, Neb., and other nieces and nephews.

In early life she joined the Evangelical church, but in later life affiliated with the Lorimor Church of Christ where she was an active member.
