MRS. MARY E. WEBB BURIED IN WINTERSET

Former Resident Here Died July 7th at Danvers Illinois

Mrs. Mary E. Webb, a former resident of near Winterset, died July 7 at Danvers, Ill., at the age of 76 years, and was buried here on Wednesday of last week.

Funeral services were held from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W. P. Gordon, pastor of the Winterset United Presbyterian church, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Webb was a native of Carlock, Ill., where she was born Oct. 23, 1869, as Mary E. Birckelbaw, daughter of Christian and Mary Miller Birckelbaw.

She came to this community in early life and was married to L. M. Davis of Winterset in March 1894. They spent their married life near Winterset until his death in 1896. To this union one daughter survives, Mrs. Eva Cook of Chula, Mo.

In June, 1898, she was married to John A. Webb of Winterset. He died Feb. 2, 1911. Surviving this union are two sons, John H. Webb of Danvers, Ill., and Irl C. Webb of Downs, Ill. She also leaves a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gertrude Comp of Des Moines; a stepson, E. T. Webb of Centerview, Mo., 13 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church all her life, and was affiliated with the ladies aid and missionary society at Danvers.
