Lauren E. Tobin, a former Madison county resident, died in Salem, Ore., on May 1, 1961. He was 86 years of age.
Mr. Tobin had lived in Florida for many years, but had moved to Salem recently to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. Oral Mathews.
He leaves three daughters and a son.
He was buried last Saturday at Bloomfield, Ia., with graveside services conducted by the Rev. Virgil Bopp, pastor of the First Baptist church there.
