Arizona Rites For BERTHA COOPER TISCHE

Bertha Cooper Tische of Glendale, Ariz., a native of Winterset, died Friday, February 8, 1980, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., at the age of 74. Funeral services and burial were held in Arizona.

Born on June 6, 1905 in Winterset, she was the daughter of Judge and Mrs. William S. Cooper. She attened Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo., and graduated from New Mexico University at Albuquerque. She was united in marriage to Fred Tische who preceded her in death in 1970.

Mrs. Tische was a member of the First Presbyterian Church while living in Winterset, but in Arizona joined the First Christian Church of Phoenix. She had lived in Arizona for over 30 years. A member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, she was sponsor of a group of P.E.O.'s at the Beatitudes Retirement Complex and was also on the Board of the Phoenix Reciprocity Council.

Surviving are a nephew, Wain Cooper of Albuquerque, N.M., and a niece, Mrs. Tom Reynolds of Dallas, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wainright Cooper.
