MARY M. KELSEY DIES AT 82 YEARS

Winterset Woman Had Lived in County nearly Half Century.

Mrs. Mary M. Kelsey of Winterset, resident of Madison county for nearly half a century, died Monday, April 23, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Kelsey was a native of Adair county, where she was born July 29, 1879. She was the former Mary Maude Cunningham. She was married in Kansas to Harry R. Kelsey in 1904. For the last 48 years she had lived in Madison County.

She was a member of the Christian church at Winterset.

Her husband died in 1937, and a daughter Mrs. Florence Murphy of Winterset, preceded her in death last year.

She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Farlin of Lorimor, Mrs. Ruth Overton of Des Moines, and Mrs. Gladys Evison of Palo Alto, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Conn of Minburn.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Robert Owens, pastor of the First Christian church here. Burial will be made in the Wight cemetery.
