1962FRANK KELLOGG DIES AT 85 YEARS
Life-Long Scott Township Resident Died Last Friday
Sylvester Frank Kellogg, a life-long resident of Madison county died Friday Dec. 6 at his farm home in Scott township.
Mr. Kellogg was born in Scott township Feb. 19, 1877, a son of James M. and Ellen James Kellogg. His life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church.
Mr. Kellogg was married Sept. 8, 1920 to Marjorie Keller, who survives him. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Edmonia Leonard of Des Moines, and Mrs. Elizabeth Greenwood of Winterset; a son, Bruce F. Kellogg of Ames and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Miles in 1959.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by elder Fred Phipps of Le Grand. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery.
