Clyde "Pat" Keeney of rural Winterset died Friday, April 18 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 62. Mr. Keeney had lived in the Winterset area for the past 12 years.
Born on April 7, 1918, in Warren County, he was the son of Ernest E. and Hallie Cue Keeney. On Jan. 13, 1940, he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Spence who survives him.
A retired farmer and livestock buyer, Mr. Keeney was a charter member of Living History Farms and was an active supporter of the farms for many years.
He is also survived by a daughter, Betty Johnston; his mother, Hallie Keeney; two brothers, Arthur and Robert, all of Indianola; a sister, Susie Young of Milo; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial was at Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
