Geraldine Keesler, Lorimor

Geraldine "Jeri" Kay Keesler, 78, of Lorimor died of pneumonia Dec. 12, 2001 at Greater Community Hospital in Creston.

Funeral services were held Saturday Dec. 15 at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Bruce Wangler officiating. Burial was at Hartman Cemetery, Truro.

Jeri Keesler was born Sept. 2, 1923 to Harold and Florence (Bennett) Keesler of Macksburg. She grew up in Lorimor, later living in Indianola. In 1972, she moved back to Lorimor where she made her residence. Jeri taught school in Clarke, Union and Madison counties and in Sac City. She also worked at Look Magazine for 14 years, drove a bus for East Union School for 13 years and owned a laundromat in Lorimor for several years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Lorimor Booster Club and Word of Life Christian Center of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by an aunt, June Weaver of Creston; two sisters-in-law, Grace Keesler and Kay Keesler; and several nieces and nephews.
