MABEL KAY, 70, DIED WEDNESDAY

Funeral Held Here Friday With Burial Made at Patterson

Mabel Kay of Winterset, a resident of Madison county since childhood, died last Wednesday May 27, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 70 years of age.

Miss Kay was born in Polk county on Sept. 8, 1893, a daughter of Rueben and Mary Childers Kay. Much of her life was spent in the St. Patrick's community of Lee township.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Miss Kay never married and her nearest surviving relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Anderson of Elkhorn and Mrs. Edna Robinson of Winterset, with whom she resided.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John Porath, pastor of the First Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the McGinnis cemetery at Patterson.
