DONALD FINCH RITES HELD LAST THURSDAY
Former Winterset Youth Had Been Killed in Motor Vehicle Crash
Funeral services for Donald E. Finch, former Winterset youth who was killed in a motor vehicle crash at Lincoln, Neb., on Monday of last week, were held last Thursday from Anderson's home for funerals.
The Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Church of Christ, was in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
The young man was 21 years old at the time of his death. He was born Nov. 24, 1923, at Lake Mills, the son of Alvin and Sue Finch. His mother died in 1928, when he was 3 years old.
His early childhood was spent in Corning at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Parker, who preceded him in death a few years ago. When he was 12 years old he came to Madison county, living here until three years ago when he went to Lincoln.
He is survived by his father, Alvin Finch of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Evalyn Brooker of Winterset; and two brothers, Lyle Finch with the U.S. army in Germany, and Gerald Finch at Camp Crowder, Mo.
