MRS. CLARK BUTTON DIED LAST FRIDAY

Young Mother of Three Small Girls was 33 Years of Age

Mrs. Clark Button, young mother of three small children, died last Friday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Shoemaker of Winterset. She was 33 years of age.

Mrs. Button was the former Cleo Elizabeth Shoemaker, daughter of Will and Laura Shoemaker. She was born at Corning on Feb. 20, 1912. Her mother died when she was an infant, and in 1915 her father married Edna Campbell, who became the only mother the little girl ever knew.

In 1922 she came with her parents to Winterset. She graduated from the Winterset high school, with the class of 1931, and three years later, in 1934, she was married to Clark Button. Their home had been in Des Moines in recent years.

Mrs. Button is survived by her husband; her three small daughters, Shirley May, Patty Ann and Beverly Bea; and her parents in Winterset.

In Winterset, Mrs. Button had been a member of the Methodist church. In Des Moines, she united with the Miller United Brethren church, where she took an active part in its affairs. She was president of the Victory circle, secretary-treasurer of the Fellowship class, and sang in the choir.

Funeral services were held here Sunday from the Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Harry Herlein of Des Moines, assisted by the Rev. Melvin Hansen. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
