CLARENCE LUCAS Dies at 67 Years

Clarence G. Lucas, a life-long resident of the Winterset community, died at his home in Winterset Sunday, May 15, after a long illness. He was 67 years of age.

Mr. Lucas was born in Madison county, a son of George and Sarah Lucas, and spent his life here. As a young man he was employed at the Hartsook Implement company, but most of his active years had been spent in farming and dairying.

He was married Dec. 28, 1909, to Wilda Kale. They were parents of three sons, John Lucas of Bishop, Calif., and Kale and Clarence Lucas of Winterset. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Welch.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
