Moses M. Howard was born at Unionville, Missouri, May 21, 1855. He died at the St. Luke's hospital in Denver, September 29, 1945. Mr. Howard lived in the Earlham community for many years being engaged in farming. After leaving here he moved to Denver, Colorado.

His five children and three step children survive him. They are: Mrs. Bertha Speer of Waukee; Mrs. Mary Prohaska of Earlham; Clarence Howard of Burbank Califonria; Mrs. Opal Hesford of Denver, Colorado; and Mrs. Dorothy Halkenhouser of Denver; Clarence Thorn of Denver; Nathan Thorn of Bell, California, and Mrs. Malissa Bagan of Denver.

Mass was said at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, in the Church of the Holy Ghost in Denver. The Rev. Jerome Weinet was the officiating clergyman. Burial was made in the Mount Olivet cemetery.
