Dr. Glen H. Griswold of Winterset, a practicing veterinarian at Earlham and Winterset during most of his active life, died Wednesday, March 19, 1969, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 75 years of age.

From 1918 until 1929 he practiced his profession in Dexter, but moved to a farm in Madison county in the latter years, where he lived and practiced until 1938, when he moved to Winterset. He retired from active practice in 1958.

Doctor Griswold was a member of the Masonic lodge, and the Winterset Rotary club, was a past president of the Earlham school board, and a director of the Union State Bank of Winterset from 1958 until his resignation in 1965, because of ill health.

He was married at Winterset June 4, 1917, to Hannah Jenkins. She preceded him in death Feb 8, 1967.

He is survived by a son, Dr. David M. Griswold of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Misner of West Des Moines; and two grandsons, David and Don Griswold.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Penn Center cemetery.
