John Marvin Jordan, a former Madison county resident, died Monday, Nov. 2, in Harlingen, Texas at the age of 61.
Born in Macksburg on Aug. 8, 1920, he was the son of Norris and Armelda Snyder Jordan.
In 1942, he was married to Dora Dillon of Des Moines.
He was a World War II veteran and was seriously wounded in France in 1944.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter; five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Jon of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Uva Ray of Minneapolis, Miss., and Elva Mobley and Eleta Wilcox of Winterset.
Burial was in San Bernito, Texas on Nov. 4.
