Memorial services for Norman "Red" Jones, 61, Patterson, who died July 28, at his residence were held at the Grace Baptist Church Monday July 31 with the Rev. Gary Worsham officiating. His ashes were buried at the McGinnis Cemetery.
Born at Pershing, Iowa on Dec. 25, 1927, he was the son of Charles and Minnie M. Booth Jones. He was a carpenter for the Deiseth Specialty Co.
On March 31, 1950, he was married to Marian Reed at Pella. Mr. Jones was a resident of Patterson for 26 years, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; a son, William C. Jones of Tampa, Fla.; daughters, Diana Brown of Patterson, Barbara Beebe of Winterset and Patricia Casson of Winterset; brothers, Warren of Lovilia and Delno of Pershing; a sister, Charlotte Harrison of Attica, Iowa; and four grandchildren.
