MRS. LOREN JONES DIED ON SUNDAY

Life-Time Resident of Scott Township Was 62 Years Of Age

Mrs. Loren D. Jones of near Winterset, died Sunday, March 12, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 62 years of age.

Mrs. Jones was a life-time resident of Scott township. She was the former Nora Leota Harrell, daughter of Edgar and Julia Etta Hircock Harrell, and was born July 12, 1904.

She was married to Loren D. Jones on March 14, 1923 in Winterset. Their married life was spent farming in Scott township. She was a member of the Scott Community circle, and was active in the Zion Federated church in that community.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Delbert Jones of Winterset and Albert Jones of Van Meter; three grandchildren; two brothers, Lee Harrell of Winterset and Glen Harrell of Aumsville, Ore.; and three sisters, Mrs. Glen Newton of Winterset, Mrs. J. H. McDonald of Salem, Ore., and Mrs. Tom Gordon of Aumsville, Ore.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Melvin Mattox, pastor of the Grace Baptist church of this community. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
