Mildred Jones, Columbus City

Mildred Jones, 93, died at her home July 23, 1992, in Columbus City, Ia. Funeral services were held Sat., July 25 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 10, 1898 in Madison County near Ord, to William and Hattie De Mar. On June 12, 1924 she married David R. Jones in Winterset. She taught in Scott township school from 1918-1919 and Jr. High in Winterset from 1923-24.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Owen E. De Mar, one sister and her parents.

Survivors include two sons Howard Jones of Columbus Junction and William Jones of Boulder, Colo.; two daughters, Harriet Jones of Columbus City and Mrs. Dorothy Sands of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Burial was at the Cambrian Cemetery and a memorial has been established.
