Matthew James Jones, newborn, died at birth April 4, 1997 at Mercy Medical Center hospital in Des Moines. Graveside services were April 7 at Union Chapel Cemetery in Madison County. Pastor Jon Gaul officiated the services.

He was born to Anthony Lee and Verlynn (Louterback) Jones.

Surviving relatives include his parents, one brother, Anthony Jr., two sisters, Amber and Chantel Jones, all of Peru; grandparents, Joseph Jones of St. Charles, Bevery Jones of Keokuk, and Warren and Billie Child of Hemet, Calif.
