MARGARET KIRK THURMAN, Las Vegas, Nev.

Margaret Kirk Thurman, 104, Las Vegas, Nev., died in Las Vegas Jan. 19, 1985. Graveside services are pending at the Union Cemetery in Clarke County. The body was cremated.

Mrs. Thurman was born in England and came to America at the age of 9. Her parents, Benjamin and Jane White Kirk, settled on a farm north of Lorimor in Madison County.

She was married to Kerry Thurman who died in 1943 and they were the parents of two sons, Gale, who died in 1978 and Glen, who lives in Las Vegas.

Survivors include the son and a niece, Mrs. Nellie Thurman Hooley of Casper, Wyo., who was raised in their home and daughters-in-law Fern and Helen Thurman of Las Vegas, and a sister, Mrs. Susie Short of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Thurman had made her home at Glen Halla Nursing Home, Henderson, Nev., for the past several years. She had the distinction of being the oldest resident of Henderson, Clarke County, Nevada, and had received considerable publicity in recent years.
