Walter C. Seibert, a resident of Winterset since last March, died Saturday, Feb. 8 at Iowa City. He was 62 years of age.

Mr. Seibert was born at Exira on Jan. 22, 1885, the son of N. I. and Mary Seibert. With the exception of a few years, his entire life was spent in Iowa, engaged in farming.

He was married Feb. 14, 1907, to Dora Darlington of Clearfield. They farmed for many years in Taylor county. Retiring from the farm last winter, they moved to Winterset to make their home last March 1.

Mr. Seibert had been a member of the Methodist church since early life. He was an active member of the Masonic and Eastern Star orders.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Cecil W. Seibert of Waterloo, Ivan N. Seibert of Guthrie Center; and Claire D. Seibert of St. Charles; six grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral services were held with Masonic rites on Feb. 11 from the Clearfield Methodist church and burial was made in the cemetery there.
