Mrs. Lawrence Kimball died of Heart Attack
Former Winterset Resident Moved to Colorado in September
Mrs. Lawrence Kimball, a resident of Winterset for 12 years, died suddenly last Friday at a hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., the town in which she had been living since September.
Mrs. Kimball was 61 years of age, and had been in good health until stricken suddenly by a heart attack.
She was the former Gillie E. Saylor, daughter of J. L. and Sarah Saylor, and was born Feb. 6, 1885, at Glassford, Ill., where she spent her early life. She was married to Lawrence N. Kimball, March 9, 1921, at Glassford. They lived at Hermosa, S. Dak., 10 years before coming to Winterset. After living here 12 years, they moved to Des Moines two years ago, and to Colorado last September.
She was a past president of the American Legion auxiliary in Winterset.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Carley Kimball, at home; a brother, Newton Saylor of Peoria, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Letha Richards of Winterset and Mrs. Edith Sprague of Glassford, Ill.
Mrs. Richards left Winterset Friday for Grand Junction, to attend funeral services for her sister, which were held there this Monday. Burial was also made at Grand Junction.
