Mrs. Christina Peterson, long-time resident of this county, died Sunday morning at her home on East Jefferson street in Winterset, following a heart attack.
Most of her life was spent on a farm near St. Charles. She moved to Winterset about four years ago.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew Peterson f Indianola and Lawrence Peterson of Des Moines; and two daughters, Mrs. Alma McKinney of Winterset, and Mrs. Marie McKinney of Atlantic. Her husband died several years ago.
Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Methodist church at St. Charles, and burial was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.

MRS. KRISTINE PETERSON Was Native of Denmark
Mrs. Kristine Peterson, whose death Dec. 22 was reported in the Madisonian last week, was a native of Denmark, where she was born May 19, 1872, near Farso. She was the former Nelsina Kristine Jensen.
She was married May 19, 1896 to Soren Peterson. They were the parents of four children.
In 1903 she and her husband, with their two eldest children, came to Shelby county, Iowa. They made their home in Shelby, Cass and Audubon counties until 1917, when they came to the farm southwest of Patterson. Mr. Peterson died seven years ago, and in 1943, Mrs. Peterson moved to Winterset.
She is survived by the four children, Mrs. Marie McKinney of Atlantic, Mrs. Alma McKinney of Winterset, Andrew Peterson of Indianola, and Lawrence Peterson of West Des Moines; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
