Clyde Robbins, former Winterset and Madison county resident, died Friday, Dec. 6th at the Memorial hospital in Butler, Mo., after a week's illness with heart trouble. Mr. Robbins who was 74 years of age, had spent Thanksgiving here with his mother, Mrs. J. M. Robbins, and had suffered a severe heart attack the following day at his Missouri home.
Mr. Robbins was born in Kansas but spent his youth here. He had been a successful auctioneer for many years in Missouri.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, by a previous marriage, Mrs. Beulah Woodford of Des Moines, and Mrs. Flossie Defenbaugh of Kansas City, Mo., two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also leaves his aged mother, Mrs. J. M. Robbins of Winterset, three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Briggs of Winterset, Mrs. Grace Wight of Custer, Mont., Mrs. Alma White of Davenport, and a brother, Oliver Robbins of Kansas.
Funeral and burial services were held at Butler, Sunday, Dec. 8.
