1980Cleo M. Jones Funeral Monday
Cleo M. Jones of Winterset, a lifelong resident of Madison County, died Friday, Aug. 22 at Villa West Care Center at the age of 84.
Born on May 8, 1896, in Madison County, she was the daughter of David and Svilla Snyder Bardrick. She was united in marriage to Fred R. Jones on March 2, 1924, and he preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Jones attended Zion Federated Church and moved to Winterset from Scott Township in 1944.
Surviving are two step-daughters, Pauline Bulwan of Des Moines and Maxine Wilson of St. Charles; four grandchiildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Bardrick of Winterset. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a step-daughter, Lois Banta.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Updike officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
